I forgot to put my finds the other day.. I have been very forgetful lately, well; to be honest, it happens very often. For some reason no posts were written, probably because I was brokenhearted? or since I write for myself nobody would ask me for a new post.. . Sooo, This very cool purse just came in to my doorstep the other day from Opening Ceremony purchased, via internet. I just can't get enough from the goodies they have in their store. Rika is the name of the brand.. The purse is named Rosa, kind of cool and it's made out of soft tie dye lambskin with silver pyramid, star and circle studs... Circular shape, with silver chains; reminded me of some kind of ugly bags from the 80's with lots of personality. Chack (I like to write it with an A) it out ..

Mix the old with the new..

Arriving to Quito Today... Just beautiful. Finally wore the abandoned Mociun tights, Chloe SS 2010, Shoes Today in Guayaquil, Ecuador, same tights, Topshop denim shirt, Christian Louboutin "Fred" python shoes SS2009, Jacket by Rag and Bone love this brand!

For the past 5 years to be precice I've had a pair of tights which I adore but, for some reason have never, ever wore them. Why? Only God knows.. I just did not have the time or place or just I could not find a way to wear them. It is not science but I would take them on almost every trip I made, took them even when I moved to london for a bit but I just left them sitting in the closet resting, and just a week ago I decided to put them on just so they would not hate me more for not paying attention to them for the past five years. So, i did it.. hhaahh. And now I have worn them 3 times since last week... I cannot even wash them, I keep on wearing them, non-stop. Didn't even pay attention to who made them until just right this second.. Googled it, of course and in less than 3 seconds found that the brand is still here with us, and it has a jewelry line on the side, which it looks amazing. Very delicate and simple but with some attitute.Mociun is the brand and I saw my tights in the "ARCHIVES' of the page, that was funny..

In Ecuador right now and went to this meeting in Quito (capital) and wore them with pride and joy.. :) For some reason the Spellchecking is not working... It's doing it in Spanish.. Is it because I'm in Ecuador that automatically does that??? It should not be like that.. Oh Well.. Sorry for the

Just got back home from an event held at The Webster for MOCA Museum. It was cool since I like contemporary art and Clothing. They just had amazing picks of designers and the jewelry was awesome as well. It's a 3 or 4 floor store in Collins Avenue and the facade of the Historic building is very Art Deco Miami... "My name is Tony Montana" remember the movie.?.. with neon lights around the name, which is great, Miami signature.. You get the point.. I loved the building by the way. They still had a sale of 60 % off which does not hurt any ones wallet. and is, just beautiful how they have design the space inside. There is not other place like this in Miami, so at some point while in the store walking around and seeing the Viktor and Rolf tops and dresses, you fell as if you where somewhere else.. That is always a good feeling. haha... No picture of the place inside because I was looking around at all the goodies they had in the racks, so I forgot... But I have some of the chairs outside of the front entrance which @ the end I remembered I had the camera with me... Oh well.. Here with Brunella (my dog) and Pichurris (I'm dog-sitting) watching some some of the news about how people complaint so much over this" Health care Bill".. I think it's going to do more good than bad.. But there goes the saying.. people do not like or are afraid of "new ideas, designs, era and so on" no wonder the "trends" exist and stay for a while with a vengeance. When some celebrity starts wearing a "style" then the rest will follow because now, they have seen it on somebody that 'knows" and they feel comfortable wearing it. But only a few would wear some new design or different, new from the rest and wear it.

Well, I was not looking for it but I found it. yesterday as I was walking around Miami Design District which is getting cooler by the minute, with new furniture, clothing stores i came across the Maison Martin Margiela pop up store. Of course there is no name in the awnings on top of the store or anythings like that. It's very hidden to the public eye, which , for me; is typical of M. Margiela. Like the collections he, or is it a she? makes they seem very basic at a first glance but when you get closer to the racks of clothing the forms start to shape up. The cut, shapes and forms he gives are just jaw dropping (for me at least). The shoe collection, always a big fan of.. are just brilliant. For this collection S/S 2010 the leather he used and how he made it work looks like crushed paper. How did he do it? I have no clue. There has to be a a treatment to the leather to make that happen but I leave it up to the "chosen ones", the people who know about these procedures... I had seen the collection via Internet, of course; but to see it in person and to wear it, enjoyed it more. Have to say though, how they picked the clothing, probably the buyers for the Miami store, me; personally would have picked other things as well. More! In this case it's OK to use, "more would be better". London, Paris, NYC; you find more things. All in all it was a pleasure going to this store and trying on things that fit like a glove. Got some shoes and sunglasses.. My niece will wear them when I cannot anymore.. By the way..one of the best things of the shopping experience at M.M.M pop up store, is the shopping bag. Just Brilliant.

Well, today was not a day to be remembered... You know, one of those days... I just dress depending in the mood or state I am in..I was kind of in the middle between Neptune and Pluto. The only good thing is that I found a person (while I was at The Dog Bar) out of all places.. who can probably do the illustrations for the line I wan to create. Let's see what happens.. I was in the mood for "comfortable clothing with a petite twist" My boots I just wear them, since I got them every day or night. It looks better with a tight dress on..

Esto fue el Sabado que me olvide de hacer el post.. Bueno, Y eso a quien le importa? si nadie esta leyendo esto, todavia? hahaha Es mi promesa que me hice a mi misma y tengo que ponerlo aqui.. las fotos, como ya lo he mencionado en Ingles, no son una maravilla ya que tengo este departamento en Miami ¨patas arriba¨ porque esta lleno de ajas que me llegaron de mi mudanza de Londres y donde esta mas limpio es en mi baño.. haha, asi que ahi son los ¨foto shoots¨ahah.... Sobre el outfit del sabado¨Tenia ganas de tener otra cara apartede la mia, que no me sentia era mi mejor dia y por eso tengo esos prints (de una carita de foca) en la camisa y las sandalias de bailarina una carita dando un beso. Muchos comentarios al pasar, una mujer que los vio me dijo ¨ te han de hacer sonreir ¨pues en lo correcto estaba. La mini skirt es de una marca llamada Band Of Outsiders http://band.bandofoutsiders.com/. Me gusta por sus diseños y sobre todo por el nombre que me relaciono mucho con; ya que yo soy una ¨ outsider¨ tambien. :) A cierto.. Los ¨leggins¨es de otra marca de ropa de Londres que me fascina House Of Holland. El diseñador es un loco demente y hace lo que quiere, siempre mas adelante que el resto!

Top Helmut Lang S S 2010, sweat pants, Shoes Sigerson Morrison S S2010 :) Hoy he decidido escribir es Español, Ya que es mi idioma de nacimiento.... Para este Domingo he visto en el cielo de Miami Beach una neblina el dia entero, parecia que el mar estaba en el cielo. Me acorde sobre unas piezas de ropa que adquiri en Londres en Nov 2009. Es una diseñadora que por mi amiga Vanessa la llegue a conocer. Mother Of Pearl es el nombre de la linea de ropa http://www.motherofpearl.co.uk/. Fui a ver al coleccion que la estaban presentando en Haunch Of Venison, que es una galeria de arte comercial que representa artistas contemporaneos.. Siempre esta llena de sorpresas , de artistas nuevos como ya muy conocidos. En este caso era la epoca de FRIEZE ART FAIR que se da en Londres y me encanto la idea que tuvieran el Showroom de esta coleccion en un museo. Bueno, cabe recalcar la que hace esta coleccion es la esposa del artista reconocido Ingles, Damien Hirst. Talvez por el, esa coleccion estaba ahi. En todo caso, suerte por ella. La coleccion de S S 2010 era de mi muchos ¨prints¨ de graficos un poco abstractos medios satelitales por decir asi. Aparte unos graficos de animales, estilo John James Audubon, que es un reconocido artista en la historia del arte por ser un pintor naturalista y creaba unas acuarelas de animales que ahora uno de mis artistas contemporaneos favoritos Walton Ford, los hace tambien pero con una realidad mas a lo de ahora y no tan formal en su manera de que representan los animales en sus pinturas. Me enamore de los cortes de sus diseños e hice un pedido de 3 cosas. Una chaqueta abierta (se la puede ver en el website) de lentejuelas transparentes para que se pueda ver el grafico que tiene la tela. Una chaqueta de cuera con los codos abiertos (me gusto ese detalle) y el ultimo ya no me acuerdo.. pero me pondre esas piezas cuando me lleguen y las publicare, ya no puedo esperar mas..... Otra cosa queme llgo de Londres, ya que estoy en la parte de Arte es sobre mi ¨HONEY MAN¨ una escultura que compre en el Frieze Art Fair el 2009 en Londres.. de un artista llamado Daniel Jensen http://danieljensen.se/ de estocolmo que llegue a ver sus esculturas que me gustaron y sobre todo el precio! haha. Es un artista joven y hace sus esculturas con todo tipo de materiales. Parecieran ser un poco macabras en el primer vistazo pero me hicieron acuerdo a cuando era pequeña haber visto esas marionetas extrañas pero al mismo tiempo no dejaba de verlas. O en el cuento de Caperucita Roja, el lobo feroz. Son muy comicas sus escultura porque las viste con pedazos de telas que tiene el mismo y les da un toque final muy lleno de detalles. Es increible como cada artista crea sus diseños, arte a su manera; como ellos lo ven y nosotros, los criticos lo interpretamos a nuestra manera.

The rest of the pics are from claudiae So today was Miami International Fashion Week... Why International? because I guess it was with designer from outta town. Well, my sister was one of them. We are from Ecuador that is why she was on that list... Her line is claudiae, claudiae.com great everyday pieces with a twist that you can wear with any other great piece you have hidden in your closet.... That is how I do it.. Anyway I went to see her but the show was with other new designers as well so they shared the runway and 2 hour time which this lasted.! It was too long, too much, too many different types of styles, colors, fabrics, and so on... Just took few pics so I will post them. While I am having the best cupcake I made my sister go to the other side of town because I needed a Red Velvet cupcake.. Just wonderful, perfect now that I am trying to decide what else I put here. I took a picture of the outfit I wore (in front of the mirror) of course it is all a mess here since everything from London just came in (used to live there) and there are boxes everywhere. WHO has not gone through that? so, I won't excuse the strange location of the pictures.. but I will get better. since at the beginning of this Blog-writing experience the "blogger", this time; me, is only writing to herself! So no problems in that department.. I was also thinking if I should write in Spanish, since it is my native language and I can express myself better. i feel like I am not making since here, or not getting the point across.. Alright, who cares? It's only me writing to myself. Ok it's time to zzzzzzzz.... I'll do a better job tomorrow.. hahaah

The first blog...

This are my 5 years ago find: silk shorts from Julie Broun with a mushroom print which I found again in my closet. The booties are Chloe F/W 2009-10, Silver socks from Topshop, Navy Blue Blazer from All Saints(got them in London 2008) Belt got it @ Opening Ceremony (Love it) NYC store (2 weeks ago) from Phillippe Roucou. Shirt from Topshop. Another "New find" is the chain that I am wearing from BLOW got it @ Shopbop.com. A tiny real harmonica. I just love it..

Today I decided with lots of questions in my head if I should do this or not.. The reason why? Well, just simply shy or scared of what this "style" experience will be like At the beginning I will show my styles and I don't like cameras that much or better said.. I don't like to approach them I prefer them approaching me.. haha.. I adore fashion and have a good collection (well, that's what i think) so I will start showing what I have in my closet probably daily; since that is what a blog is about, right?!? daily entries? So, as said before it will be about the clothes that I have and how I wear them, depending on the mood, weather and so on. My new finds, and what I see around me that I like. The old things mixing them with the new. Let's see what comes out of this.... The pictures don't show much detail, I can see now that I uploaded one pic.. So I will get better and more detailed as I go along...
